Něco z Alenky or Alice, is a 1988 film adaption of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Czech surrealist artist Jan Švankmajer. The film uses both live-action and stop-motion. Alice is played by Kristýna Kohoutová, dubbed by Camilla Power in the English version, who narrates the dialogue of all the other characters. Unlike many other adaptions of Adventures in Wonderland it features no elements from Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There.
Švankmajer, who had been making short films for two decades, made his first venture into feature-length filmmaking with Alice. He had so far been disappointed with other adaptations of Carroll's book which had previously been interpreted as a fairy tale. Švankmajer wanted to make the story play out like an amoral dream instead. His film won the feature film award at the 1989 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
