Alice in Wonderland is a British silent film that was directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow and was released in 1903. It is the first film adaption of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The only surviving copy was badly damaged, but was restored in February, 2010 by the British Film Institute.

The film uses several special effects like Alice shrinking in size in the Hall of Many Doors and getting getting so big that she gets stuck inside the White Rabbit's House. In the film, Alice is played by May Clark, and one of the directors, Cecil M. Hepworth, plays the Frog. The Mad Hatter and the Fish are played by Norman Whitten, and the White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts are played by Norman Whitten. The playing cards are played by Geoffrey Faithfull and Stanley Faithfull, including a big number of child actors.
