Alice in Wonderland is a film adaptation directed by Norman Z. McLeod based on the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.
Plot[]
On a boring winter afternoon, held at home because of a snowstorm, Alice dreams that passes through the mirror of his room and get to the other side, where the chess pieces are alive and talking to each other. Then, she sees her jump with a white rabbit and follows him to his lair. Through it falls into a fantasy world where she meets characters like the Duchess, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare. After various adventures, Alice comes to the garden of the Queen of Hearts, who amuses himself playing croquet with flamingos and hedgehogs. Later, when talking to the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon, the latter magically transforms into the Red Queen in chess. The monarch takes Alice to his next destination: a huge natural chess board to be cross if he wants to become queen and awakening of his strange and disturbing dream. While crossing, Alice knows more crazy characters such as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty and the White Knight, in addition to other kings and queens of chess. Finally, Alice comes across the board, which is crowned queen at the banquet in his honor, awakens from his dream, find himself in his living room.
