Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
“Really, Dinah ought to have taught you better manners! You ought, Dinah, you know you ought!”
In the book, Dinah appears in the first four chapters. She is not physically present, but Alice talks to her many times, and mentions her frequently to Wonderland residents. When Alice describes Dinah's hunting skills to the animals in the Caucus Race, they become very uncomfortable.
Alice in Wonderland (1951)
“In my world, you wouldn't say 'meow'. You'd say 'Yes, miss Alice'.”
In the film, Dinah is first seen sitting with Alice on a tree and listening to Alice's sister reading from a history book. Both Dinah and Alice spot the White Rabbit with a pocket watch running by. Wanting to find out where the rabbit is going, they chase after him. Soon after that Alice falls down the rabbit hole and waves goodbye to Dinah who soon falls down the hole as well. Dinah is finally seen again in the end of the movie where Alice wakes up from her dream and goes home for tea with Dinah and her sister.
