The Pigeon is a bird that lives in Wonderland. She appears in Chapter 5 of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland where she mistakes Alice for a serpent when she has a long neck that is stuck in the branches of a tree. The pigeon is very protective about her eggs and has been watching out for serpents and therefore hasn't been able to sleep for three weeks. Alice tries to convince her that she is not a serpent and is not trying to get her eggs. At first she doesn't believe her, but when she is finally convinced, she sits back on her eggs.She also appears in the 1951 Alice in Wonderland as a crabby new mother.
