Toomalie Day is when Iracebeth of Crims, also known as the Red Queen, gets crowned queen. It first starts with Alice meeting the past Hatter. After asking for his family, he leads them to the crowning room. Then Zanik Hightopp puts the crown on Iracebeth's head, but the crown breaks in half because her head is too big. Everyone starts laughing, and then Iracebeth threatens the citizens, and finally the King says it's enough and Iracebeth is unfit to rule, so the crown will pass over to Mirana, the White Queen.
