Mairi Ella Challen is a 18-year-old British girl who played young Alice in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Mairi said about her role that "it was fun playing Alice and everybody was so nice!". Challen plays the six-year-old Alice who had first experienced the original Wonderland.

She won the part after she was put forward by her local drama group called Playbox Theatre. The casting agents had been looking for an actress from the UK that looked like a young version of Mia Wasikowska who plays the adult version of Alice. Her picture was spotted and she was asked to audition on a videotape. Later, she met with Tim Burton and got the role. She was filmed in both Cornwall and the L.A. studio.

Challen currently attends Sixth Form and has not had any more acting roles in more films.
