Mome raths

 Jabberwocky Poem (1871) - In the picture for Mome Raths above you can see pig like creatures running around in the background, per the Jabberwocky poem, in which this was the only place that Carroll wrote about the beasts. See picture 1

Alice in Wonderland Disney Animated Movie (1951) - The Mome Raths appear in the Tulgey Wood scene when Alice loses hope she sees the hammer and pencil birds nailing a sign diagonally across a low tree. The sign reads: Don't step on the Mome Raths. The Mome Raths gather around and make an arrow formation. They point to a pink path that leads out of Tulgey Wood and Alice exclaims she can make it home for tea, but a dog made out of a broom dusts the path away. They are not shown later in the film. The Cheshire Cat in Disney's Animated Movie sings a hauntingly nonsensical song about the creatures, which is the first lines of the Jabberwocky poem:

"Twas Brillig

And the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe,

All mimsy were the borogoves

And the mome raths outgrabe."

Outgabe means to bellow, whistle and sneeze in the middle. Rather like pigs making a fuss.

The Muppet Show (1980) - As part of the Muppet Show, the Mome Raths are green pigs with tufts of fur in the episode of Alice In Wonderland staring Brooke Shields as Alice. See picture 3

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (2013 - 2014) - Mome Raths in this adaptation are portrayed as feral wolfy creatures attracted by light colors. See picture 4
