The Ascots are rich, upper-class invented specifically for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film. They throw the garden party that Alice attends in the beginning of the film, before she falls into Wonderland. The garden party, to Alice's shock, is being held because Hamish Ascot, the son of Lord and Lady Ascot, wants to propose to her. Lord Ascot was Alice's late father's business partner.
