Alice in Wonderland Tidbit of the Day

Mia Wasikowska, who plays Alice, is 5 feet 4 inches in real life, but Alice's size changes dramatically throughout the course of her adventures in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, ranging from 6 inches to 2 feet to a maximum of 20 feet tall. The production team worked hard to use practical methods rather than special effects, and often had to put Alice (Mia Wasikowska) on an apple box to make her taller than the rest of the cast!
